2013 Hampton Museum and Visitors' Center/Watermelon Festival
“Honoring Our Watermelons, One Slice At A Time”
Grade of Class :_________________________________________________
Objective: Each class will complete an ABC book about the Hampton County Watermelon Festival.
All completed entries (books with pages from A to Z) will be recognized. For example, A is for Arts and Crafts; B is for Battle of the Towns; C is for Carnival . Each page should also contain a drawing of the event/item named. The younger children in this age category may only put the name of the event or item representing that letter of the alphabet on each page along with the drawing; they may, however, want to describe the event/item, as well. Older children in this age category are encouraged to include more information about the event/item along with the drawing. Books should be 8 ½ x11 inches in size. They may be bound together using staples, prong fasteners, spiral binding, or report covers. Please do not use 3-ring binders due to limited space at the museum.
I GIVE PERMISSION TO PRINT A COPY OF THIS ENTRY IN BOOKLET FORM FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE HAMPTON MUSEUM AND VISITORS’ CENTER.
Entry must be in the HMVC by 5:00 p.m. Thursday, May 16 , 2013.
We appreciate your help in preserving the history of Hampton County. You and your families make our activities worthwhile.
